About Be Ready List

Be Ready List is an independent UK household readiness planner created by Sam Evanson. It helps you check what you already own, identify gaps and prepare for three days of disruption, including power cuts, water interruptions and severe weather.

Start with equipment such as lighting, charging and a radio, then work through familiar household supplies. Household size and children’s ages help tailor the checklist. There is no need to buy everything at once.

Our approach

Our starting point is the UK government’s Be Ready checklist, with links to official guidance where relevant. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the government. The planner is general information and cannot account for every medical, accessibility or household need.

Equipment sections contain researched product shortlists with direct Amazon product links.
